- We recommend products with no affiliate link. If the best product in a category is only available from a retailer we do not have an affiliate relationship with, we still recommend it.
- Commission rates do not affect rankings. A product that earns us a higher commission is not ranked higher than a product with a lower commission. Scores are final before affiliate links are added.
- We frequently recommend lower-priced products. Many of our top picks are budget options that earn smaller commissions. We recommend what is genuinely best, not what earns the most.
- Negative reviews are published. If a product fails our testing, we say so -- even if it is a top seller that would generate significant affiliate revenue.
